The Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Interior, has announced multiple vacancies at the National Police Bureau for the National Forensics Agency (NFA) Project. These positions are merit-based and offered on a temporary contractual basis. Available Positions and Requirements

1. Additional Director (Digital Forensics) (BPS-19)

  • Qualification: M.Phil. or foreign Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent (HEC-recognized)
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years (BPS-17 or equivalent), including at least 7 years as a notified digital forensics expert
  • Age Limit: 40 years

2. Deputy Director (BPS-18)

  • Qualification: M.Phil. or foreign Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent (HEC-recognized)
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years (BPS-17 or equivalent), including at least 4 years as a notified digital forensics expert
  • Age Limit: 35 years

3. Scientific Officers (BPS-17) – Various Disciplines

  • Disciplines Include:
    • Computer and Mobile Forensics
    • Network Forensics
    • Audio Video Deepfake Analysis
    • OSINT Social Media Expert
    • Fingerprint Analysis (Latent & Patent)
    • Toxicology
    • Explosives
    • Firearms and Toolmarks
    • Questioned Documents Examination
    • Crime Scene Investigation
    • Narcotics
    • DNA & Serology
    • Polygraph Analysis
    • Pathology
  • Qualification: BS/BE in relevant disciplines (HEC-recognized)
  • Experience: Preferred experience in forensic casework
  • Age Limit: 30 years

4. Scientific Assistants (BPS-16) – Various Fields

  • Disciplines Include:
    • DNA Serology
    • Firearms & Toolmarks
    • Fingerprints
    • Digital Forensics
    • Explosives
    • Toxicology
    • Narcotics
    • Website & Software Development
    • Network Security
  • Qualification: MSc/BS in respective fields (HEC-recognized)
  • Experience: Preference for candidates with forensic casework expertise
  • Age Limit: 28 years

5. Administrative & Support Positions

  • Assistant Director (BPS-17) – Master’s in Business Administration, Public Administration, HRM, or M.Com.
  • Accounts Officer (BPS-17) – Experience in Finance and Accounts Departments preferred
  • Stenographer (BPS-16) – Bachelor’s Degree with 30 wpm shorthand & 40 wpm typing speed
  • Assistant (BPS-16) – Master’s/BS in any discipline with Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Computer Operator (BPS-14) – Bachelor’s with IT/Computer Science background
  • Junior Office Assistant (BPS-11) – SSC with office administration experience
  • Driver (BPS-05) – Valid driving license with 5 years of experience
  • Dispatch Rider (BPS-04) – SSC with a valid motorcycle driving license
