Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Announces Recruitment Program 2025

Lahore, August 18, 2025 – Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) has officially announced its recruitment program for the year 2025. The recruitment process will be carried out on merit, in accordance with government guidelines and provincial quotas, for General Duty Sepoy (BPS-05) positions.

Available Vacancies

A total of 598 vacancies have been announced for male candidates under the following provincial quota system:

  • Punjab (including Federal Areas/Islamabad): 299 posts (50%)
  • Sindh (Urban): 45 posts (7.5%)
  • Sindh (Rural): 68 posts (11.4%)
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 69 posts (11.5%)
  • Balochistan: 36 posts (6%)
  • Newly Merged Districts (ex-FATA): 18 posts (3%)
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 6 posts (1%)
  • Azad Jammu & Kashmir: 12 posts (2%)
  • Minorities: 30 posts (5%)

Registration and Selection Schedule

  • Online Registration: August 18 – August 27, 2025

  • Recruitment & Selection Centres: Candidates must appear at designated centres at 08:00 AM on their scheduled dates for medical examination and physical tests. Recruitment will be held at:

Required Documents

Candidates must bring original documents along with two sets of photocopies at the time of registration:

  • Original educational certificates (minimum middle pass; school leaving certificate for 8th class must be verified by the District Education Officer)
  • Original CNIC with photocopies
  • Original domicile/PRC with photocopies
  • 4 passport-sized attested photographs
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) for government employees

Eligibility Criteria

Civilian Candidates

  • Education: Minimum middle (8th class) pass (higher education preferred)
  • Age: 18–30 years as of October 31, 2025 (including 5-year relaxation). Priority will be given to candidates aged 18–22.

Ex-Servicemen

  • Education: Minimum matriculation or equivalent
  • Age: As per prevailing rules (not exceeding 45 years generally).

Physical Standards

  • Height: Minimum 5 ft 6 in
  • Chest: 33 in (with 1.5 in expansion)
  • Weight: Minimum 121 lbs (BMI proportionate)
  • Nationality: Pakistani male

Disqualification Conditions

Candidates will be disqualified if they:

  • Have been dismissed from Rangers, Armed Forces, or any government service due to disciplinary issues.
  • Were convicted by a court of law.
  • Submitted fake documents or engaged in fraud.
  • Are declared medically unfit.
  • Fail to provide NOC (for government employees).

Selection Process

The recruitment process includes:

  1. Initial Registration
  2. Physical Test (running, push-ups, etc.)
  3. Written Test
  4. Psychological Test & Interview (shortlisted candidates only)
  5. Final Medical Examination (at Rangers Academy Hospital, Mandi Bahauddin)

The final selection will be made at Headquarters Pakistan Rangers (Punjab), Lahore.

Training and Facilities

  • Selected candidates will undergo training at Pakistan Rangers Academy, Mandi Bahauddin.
  • Pay Scale: BPS-05 (as per government rules).
  • Accommodation: Free barracks accommodation or house rent allowance (30–45% of basic pay for married personnel).
  • Other Benefits: Medical facilities, ration, and allowances as per Rangers policy.

  • No TA/DA will be provided for recruitment.
  • Recruitment will remain provisional until final verification of documents.
